Uncovering the Q + K Project with Hackatao

Queens+Kings is an artistic project created by Hackatao and supported by Sotheby’s, exploring the PFP (profile picture) scene in an unprecedented manner. A series of 6,900 genderless Q+K avatars are composed of detachable NFT traits that are interchangeable, thus collectors can customize their royals. In the cryptoverse, a non-hierarchical community is in charge as traditional roles of the art world are reinvented: the collector becomes co-creator. The avatars of the NFT world have become encoded alternative images of oneself. Queens+Kings royals have the ability to evolve and transform over time, the collector may assume fluid identities and may generate different versions of themselves.
